I had the privilege of reaching Major League Baseball at just 18 years old, spending the majority of my career with the New York Mets. While the game took me to the heart of the city, my true passion has always been rooted in the outdoors. When my playing days came to an end, I knew I needed to return to the wilderness that felt like home.
​
Baseball is a career filled with extremes – like the thrill of competing in the 2015 World Series and the heartbreak of a season ending injury, when I tore my hamstring from the bone while covering first base. Yet, as incredible as it was to play on baseball‘s biggest stage, the sense of accomplishment didn’t compare to harvesting my largest buck.

That same feeling of camaraderie and achievement is what I want to share through Double Play. While we may not be popping champagne in the locker room, the victories we celebrate together in the field carry the same excitement and connection. At Double Play everyone gets the “Big League Treatment” and once you’ve experienced it, there’s nothing quite like it!
